Meteor Garden, Hana Yori Dango, Boys Before Flowers

They are all referring to the same story by Yoko Kamio. I think it is a masterpiece.

The story itself caught my attention in anime form when I was still in secondary school.

Then as I started my third year in secondary school, I was introduced to the Taiwan real-life version which in this case is known as Meteor Garden. The main casts of Meteor Garden are Barbie Hsu (commonly known as Da S), Jerry Yen (Yan), Vic Zhou, Ken Zhu, Vanness Wu. It was the first human version of Boys Over Flowers.

Then in 2005, the Japan human version came out, Hana Yori Dango. Starring Mao Inoue, Jun Matsumoto, Shun Oguri, Shota Matsuda and Tsuyoshi Abe.

AND in 2009, the Korea version, Boys Before Flowers came out. Starring, Goo Hye Sun, Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum, Kim Joon.

Comparing the 3 different versions of the same story, the first thing that hit me was the F4 in the Korea version are much younger and handsomer than the Taiwan and Japan version. (=P) Makino Tsukushi is prettier in the Korea version. In terms of grandness, the Korean version won again. But judging from the fact that it is a newer version, the Taiwan version is probably much grander at that point of time. In terms of acting, the Japan version is definitely better.

Oh, 1 more thing. The Korea Domyouji Tsukasa and the Taiwan Domyouji Tsukasa look so similar. Hehe.

Taiwan version - When Jerry Yan was about the age of Lee Min Ho now.

Korea version - Lee Min Ho.

Don't they look alike. (=D) Currently, 5 episodes of the Korea version is available on Mysoju.com.

Actors and Actress I adore

Nakama Yukie - starred in various dramas such as Gokusen (1, 2, 3) and the movie, G@me.

Kimura Takuya - Member of SMAP. If you don't know him, I don't know which era are you living in. LOL. Hui Min's god. I just like him a lot in the drama - CHANGE, which he played an amateur politician who suddenly became a prime minister (supposed to be 'puppet' but started moving by 'itself').

Yamashita Tomohisa - AKA Yamapi. Eye-candy and very good acting skills. Started paying attention to him after Kurosagi. He is pretty hot in my EA class. Hehe.

Fujiki Naohito - I just started paying attention to him though I always like the shows he was in but I just did not realise he is the same person. (=P) He caught my attention in Love Revolution followed by Hotaru no Hikari, Proposal Daisakusen, Around 40 and Shibatora. Best of all, I never realised he acted in 1 Litre of Tears. Hehe.

Above are all the Japanese actors and actress I like. Hehe.

Wild Wild Wet

It is for those who are wild. LOL. I went with Shi Yun, Jia Ying and Wei Tian today. Wonderful experience. We started with the Shiok River as we just ate some light meal before entering. We went around for about 2 rounds before we decided to move on to other rides. We played the slides and then moved to the Tsunami area. We waited and waited but the waves never came so we left to the Jacuzzi. And, the waves came shortly after we left the Tsunami. (-.-')

We played a few more rides before we finally headed back to the Shiok River which we enjoy the last 2 rounds of lazing around and we went to shower. But my hands still smell of chlorine now. Yucks.

As compared to the Escape Theme Park, I think Wild Wild Wet is much more thrilling. I recommend the Sky Rider and Slide Up for the non-fainthearted. These rides will definitely make your heart beats twice as fast. Hehe. Overall, it was a very interesting and wonderful virgin experience at the Wild Wild Wet. (^^)

2 more days to school reopen

I still want to take 1 more module but apparently none of the modules are attracting my attention except those that cost a lot of points. Wondering if I can get my last module today considering the fact that I have limited points and am going out soon. Zzz...

Yesterday was my brother's enlistment. A brand new experience from my bro's enlistment. This time, they took us to the bunk first and on the way there, I spotted a monkey along the roadside. LOL. Only my father and I saw it sitting there. So CUTE! (=P) My brother is in the Y company and his bunk is the old SISPEC building which is more spacious and comfortable but older than the rest of the BMTC. Then we headed back to the auditorium for their oath taking ceremony and finally early dinner.

The dinner was just fried rice, sausage, bun, broccoli, baby carrots and a bowl of mushroom soup. I love the broccoli, baby carrots, bun and mushroom soup. The fried rice is too bland and the sausage is too dry. But it is overall a rather good meal. I will miss the mushroom soup. Sob.

CNY is coming so is school reopening

I am not very excited about school reopening. I mean, it is crazy to think that I look forward to the 3 hours back and fro from school. Which is the reason why I am trying to plan for 3 days week instead of a 4 days week like last semester.

BTW, did I mention that I got back my results? ALL PASSED! Something unexpected because Japanese Studies paper is so tough and my 2 failed mid term papers were thought to give me a couple of Cs. Instead, I only have 1 C and it comes with a positive. Hehe. Well, my CAP (equivalent to GAP) is 3.38 before exercising my S/U option. After much contemplating, I decided to only S/U 1 module which is the 1 I got a C for. After the S/U, my CAP becomes 3.67. Considered high among my fellow peers. Well, I just have to work harder.

And I don't like the food in school. They really taste horrible especially when you compare them with TP's food. I am also not thrilled to walk up and down all the stairs in school. It still needs a lot of getting used to.

Finally, I am looking forward to CNY. It is finally here again. Hehe. Can't wait to see everyone again.
