I sprained my ankle 4 times in this month

I sprained my ankle (the same ankle) 4 times this month! It is a miracle that I can still walk normally. I can also wear my new heels and jump around. Only problems I have are my ankle is slightly swollen, always gives me a sickening feeling when I walk and my feet is slightly dislocated now.

ARGH!!!

I am fine with the first two but slightly dislocated makes me very irritated. I want to walk normally and wear pretty shoes so I am finally going to the Chinese physician. There goes my $20. Sobz.

The first time I sprained my ankle was when I made a sharp turn to run after my bus and I did not land my left foot carefully and therefore I sprained my ankle. I relied on medicated plaster for one whole week before my ankle recovers. Then I sprained my ankle again at the same exact location and situation as the first. The third was when I stepped into the toilet at home and lost my balance. The fourth was when I was walking to no idea where.

I really have a very SERIOUS problem balancing myself. (-.-)

Prediction of the coming Disaster

Prediction of the coming Disaster

Mr. Juseleeno, born in 1960(reportedly still alive in 2008), is a Brazilian who has made many predictions, and MOST have come to pass, including Princess Diana's death by car accident (which is instigated by someone near her and will probably unfortunately be written off as a car accident), 911 and the 2004 Indonesian tsunami. He sees the future in his dreams, and has an average of 3 to 9 such predictions per day. When he wakes up, he will write them down, and send warnings to those concerned.
If it concerns only a normal individual, he will write a letter to warn him/her.
If it is a famous person(celebrity, politician etc.), or matters concerning the public, he will not only send it to the individual himself/herself, but also related agencies, government, and media. He urged the media to publicise these predictions, but the reply always went along the lines of rejection for fear of arousing public panic.

Future predictions:

2008, July: There will be an earthquake in Japan, which will cause a tsunami of 30 plus metres high to occur as well.

2008, 18th September: An earthquake with magnitude of approximately 9.1 will rock China , simultaneously causing a tsunami of more than 30 metres to occur, resulting in the deaths of more than 1 million people.
Although this huge earthquake will happen after the Olympics have ended, there will be a series of relatively smaller earthquakes occurring in China before the huge earthquake. The China government, which is more concerned with the success of the Olympics, will most likely neglect to employ appropriate cautionary measures, thus the high casualty rate. If the China government does not publicise the occurrence of these minor earthquakes and evacuate people, the number of deaths will be as predicted.

2008, 17th December: terrorist attack in America

2010: The temperatures in some countries of Africa could be as high as 58 degrees Celsius, and there will be a serious shortage of water.

2010, 15th June: The New York Stock Exchange market will fail, causing an international financial crisis.

2011: The research on the treatment of some cancers will be completed, but a new life-threatening virus will appear. People who are infected will die after only approx. 4 hours of coming into contact with the virus.

2013, 1st - 25th November: Research on treatment of cancers, except for brain tumors, will be completed. An earthquake, caused by volcanic eruptions, will happen on Bahama Island of the Canary Islands. A gigantic tsunami of roughly 150 metres will result. America mainlands, Brazil etc.
will be affected, with the tsunami pushing into the land as far as 15 to 20 kilometres. Before the occurrence of this gigantic tsunami, the sea/ocean water levels will sink by about 6 metres, and large flocks of birds will start to migrate.

2014: A small planet that has been gradually closing in on Earth might eventually collide with Earth, and this collision, if come to pass, will affect the survival of humans as a whole.

2015: By the mid of November, the average temperature of Earth could be as high as 59 degrees Celsius. Many people will die from the overheat, and international confusion and terror ensues.

2016, April: A huge typhoon will invade China, causing massive damage. The 43rd USA president, George Walker Bush, will enter the hospital, and faces a life or death situation.

2026, July: A super earthquake will occur in Sans Francisco, and it will be named "The Big One". Huge damage to surrounding areas. Many volcanoes will re-activate, and the height of resulting tsunami will be more than 150 metres.

Mr. Juseleeno made known his predictions in hopes that people will take heed of his warnings, so that these disasters may be avoided. He hopes there will be a major change in the thinking of people's mindsets in the time period 2007 - 2008. One factor will be the environmental issue of global warming, which is more serious than what some meteorologists assume.

This is so scary. OMG!

GSS

Great Singapore Sale has started. Lalala~

Already done a little shopping on Sunday. (=P)
I had to head to Ang Mo Kio Hub on Sunday to get my shoes, those that I posted on my blog some time ago. Didn't have the time to collect them the week before so I had to arrange a time on Sunday to collect them. Pretty and comfortable. (^^) Can't wait to wear them out. (=D)

While waiting for the person at AMK Hub, I went to Poh Kim. (I mentioned that I will never buy anymore discs from there before) Entered the shop as none other shops are interesting. Headed straight for the Korean Drama section. Saw "Pure 19" which is the 7pm show airing on Channel U now. (=>) There are 2 parts to it. Total cost of the 2 parts will be about $70++. I didn't buy it. No complains about it. I can still vividly remember what happened to my "Be Strong Geum Soon". Only having watched it once, lend it to others and it is now left to rot with my other collection. (=P)

The show is too long for me to re-watch. Too many episodes and I am not in the mood to go through several hours of sticking to the television again. LOL.

So I stepped out of the store, collected my shoes and went back to Tampines. I knew I cannot stop myself from buying that day. Who can? When all the "sale" sign boards are calling out to you. Excuses for spending. (=P) Bought 2 tees from Split for $50 and a pair of Levi Signature jeans for $69.90. Total damage - $119.90. Wanted to buy more but with so many plastic bags in my hand, it made shopping really hard to carry on. I left shortly after buying my jeans.

Then my secondary Lao Pa, Jason, happily sms-ed me. LOL. Had a good, and yet hard as I have to struggle to sms, time sms-ing. We, both, agreed that:

"Girls can make what they want becomes what they need so they will usually get what they want"

So true, right?

Happy shopping!!!

I will throw RMB100 in her face

Take a good look at the contemptible faces of the mother and daughter. If I were there at the scene, I will throw RMB100 in her face.

And, look at the pitiful old man kneeling before the mother and daughter begging for their forgiveness for accidentally making a small hole in the daughter's jeans.

The pair of mother and daughter demanded for compensation of RMB 50 for a 2 to 3 centimetre big hole caused by an accident. The elderly was making a turn with his trishaw when the metal wire accidentally brushed across the daughter's jeans.

In front of everyone on the road, the mother pushed the elderly and demanded for RMB50. The old man kneel down in tears and begged for forgiveness. In his hands, there was only RMB8.40. BUT, the despicable b*tches did not accept and called the police into this minor incident.

Passerbys could stand it no longer and started emptying their pockets; finally accumulated RMB50. After taking the money from the old man, the mother and daughter left without a backward glance.

-

I am so mad! If it were me, I would not accept any money from the old man at all.
I believe that what goes around comes around and they will suffer for what they did that day.

Time to start studying again

Before I start blogging, anyone wants to watch "LE MUSIQUE 2008" by TPJC Winds and Guitar Ensemble on the 31st May 2008, Saturday, 7pm, Victoria Concert Hall. Tickets are at $10 each. Please let me know if you are interested. (=>)

-

It is time to start studying again. (>.<) Finally. I haven't been studying since the last time when I went to TP to study. Not as diligent as others thought of me afterall. (=P)

I am going to distance myself away from all kinds of enticement. Erm... ok, maybe not all. I can never keep myself away from dramas, probably my only addiction. (=D) I will still switch on my laptop since I have to send homework to my students during their holidays. So you will be able to get a glimpse of me on MSN once in a while. LOL.

I have been keeping myself busy lately with the weekly update of Fated to Love You, Absolute Boyfriend and Gokusen 3. Didn't watch Rolling Love at all though I would love to watch Dansen Tang in the show but the plot just doesn't attracts me. Haiz.

Other than the drama updates, I also managed to read Harry Potter again. This time paying extra attention to the various parts that I simply just glanced through previously. Really glad that I did. I have a new comprehension of the magical story. I also love the last part of the story when Harry told his son that he was named for the two headmasters of Hogwarts, one of them who was a Slytherin and was probably the bravest man he ever knew. I wonder whether "A History of Magic" will include the battle between Voldemort and Harry Potter. (=P)

UOB new debit card

I don't like this new UOB debit card.

Ok, not totally. I love the word 'Platinum' on it. It means that I can get a bit of more discount at some places and I think I can use it at more places/countries now.

What I don't like about it is its design and the new feature of being a debit card, ATM card and EZ Link card altogether.

Regarding the design, I still prefer the old blue coloured design. The new one simply gives me the feeling of a 'Sale' poster hanging at the display window. (-.-)

Why I hate the new additional feature of being an EZ Link card?
Simple.
Can you imagine when you are boarding or alighting from the bus and having to remove your EZ Link card from your wallet before tapping when you always just leave it in your wallet? I forgotten, today, that the new UOB debit card was and still is in my wallet and I happily tapped it at the machine when I boarded and alighted from the bus and spent quite a few seconds trying to remove my EZ Link card from my wallet which is so packed and tight, now, with more and more cards in it. (-,-)

So, you may say that 1 card having the ability of 3 cards is as good as removing 2 cards from your wallet and making your wallet lighter; but NO.
When I start school in August, I will have a new EZ Link which will enable me to purchase student concession at discounted rates so why in my right mind will I use the UOB debit card as an EZ Link card when it does not entitle me that?

Really don't find it practical for me but the old card is going to cease operation next month. How I wish I still can use the old card. (=.=)

Popular Stationery Sale *Updated*

Just read the email from Popular and realised that there is a Stationery Sale going on at certain outlets.

Anyone wants to get something from there? Thinking of heading down next week to make my purchase.

-

I went today. I know I said next week but I was all dressed up for a gathering that was cancelled at the very last minute so I decided to head down to Marine Parade to buy the stationery.

I am mad. Seriously mad.
I bought 12 highlighters. Well, not exactly 12 since it has 2 ends each ending with a different colour. So, in fact, I have 24 highlighters. (o.0) They can definitely last me at least 3 years.

At the same time, I bought 3 packets of film index (those self-adhesive type that you can flag out a certain page or chapter with) for $5.90. They can definitely last me at least 4 years since I don't really use them.

Also bought 8 cases of pencil leads for my brother and not forgetting a few other stuffs.

I am so mad. LOL.

Fantasizing

After watching a short sneak preview of the upcoming Shanghai part of "Fated to Love You", I decided to create e list of things or actions that I personally think is really sweet for a guy to do it to a girl. So, here goes:

  1. Taking off his coat to put it on the girl's shoulder when she is cold in spite of freezing like mad himself (Of course I don't think that is very possible to happen in Singapore unless you are in Snow City) (-.-')
  2. Sheltering the girl to a building, she wants to go, when it was raining with his own coat/books/bag/whatsoever (This is a more practical one) (=D)
  3. Holding the girl's hand while crossing the road
  4. Holding her hands when she is afraid
  5. Kissing her on the forehead
  6. Introducing her to all his friends and do not mind being with her friends as well
  7. Send her home - right to the doorstep
  8. Save her from all forms of embarrassment (This is the best) (=P)
  9. Opening the door for her (car/whatsoever)
  10. Pretend to like the things she likes (I am not so sure about this but it is still sweet) (=D)
  11. Never get really mad at her for embarrassing you (by stupid actions of hers)
  12. Listen to her (You can 'switch off' anytime)
  13. Changing the towel on her forehead when she has a fever (Damn sweet!!!)
  14. Catch her when she is falling
  15. Occasionally teasing her
  16. Do something for her once in a while (better not be too frequent, once in a few months is good) (=D)
  17. Sing a song for her (But if your voice is horrible then please don't. LOL.)
  18. Make her feel like a princess

That is my list. Hehe. What about yours? *.^

Ill-treated?

I read off some website last night that breast-feeding will enhance the intelligence ability of babies.
Being my mischievous self (=P), I decided to ask my mum if any of us were being breast-fed.
Below is a rough idea of how the conversation goes:

ME (running after my mum to the washing machine):
Ma, did you breast-feed any of us? I read that breast-feeding will make a child brighter.
Mum (walking into the kitchen):
No.
ME (surprised and still following my mum):
WHAT?! No wonder none of us were genius.
Mum (half-laughing):
If I knew you were going to say this when you grew up, I would have bought a cow and milked it for you.
ME (o.0):
Ma, I said 人奶 ('human' milk) not 牛奶 ('cow' milk).
Mum (saying to my dad and not paying attention anymore):
That's your daughter.
Dad (grinning):
You should be thankful that you were not ill-treated.
ME (going to drink some water):
WHY?
Dad (laughing devilishly):
You mum put your bro on diet course the moment he was born.
ME (spat water out of my mouth):
WHAT? Why?
Dad:
I have no idea, to date, where did she managed to find that small spoon to scoop the milk powder. She scooped half the spoon with milk powder and added lots of water to make milk for your bro for a whole month before realising that your bro was never full.
ME (-.-'):
Great. I am lucky. (laughing)

Mad-man?

I met a mentally unsound man on the train today. So 'lucky' of me. (>.<)
How do I know that he is mentally unsound?

If you see a man talking to himself in a language that you can TOTALLY not understand but once in a while catch some phrases in English, shouting, yelling, pointing at people, cursing, smiling, slapping his thighs with a rhythmic beat and most of all is talking none stop to himself then you will know that he is mentally unsound.

The above are all that happened on the train from Tampines to Bedok. (-.-')
He was so noisy that I felt like walking up to him to ask him to shut his mouth up but being almost 2 or 3 times bigger than me, I swallowed my words. (=B)

At first when I boarded the train, I didn't notice the man sitting at the corner but kept hearing someone speaking very loudly. Finally, I decided to turn my head around to look for the source of the voice and my eyes landed on a man wearing a red shirt and shorts who kept slapping his thighs with his hand in a rhythmic manner. I thought he was talking to someone on his earpiece as he had the earphones tucked into his ears but after observing for a few seconds, I realised there wasn't any mouthpiece to it. And, that concludes that he was talking to himself. (-.-')

He was speaking so fast and his words didn't make sense at all except maybe about 10% of it.
"SiiiiMEIII"
"DIE"
"Your mother die, your sister die"

Those were what I made out of what he said and he was pointing at a few people when he said the last sentence. Best of all, he was smiling. Really felt like wiping his smile away with a slap. The WHOLE train was staring at him. Ok, maybe not the whole train but the few cabins that were joined together.

The ride was really noisy thanks to him and everyone was frowning also thanks to him. (-.-')

Shoes, Heels *Link added

I am buying shoes and heels from this website. (=P)

First pair:
Pink flats for school!

Second pair:

Plum coloured bucket heels. I have no idea why I picked this colour instead of the safer black and white. Just love this colour. (=D)

Should I get this?

This pair gave me a carefree feeling. I am wondering if I should get it as well but looking into the shoes cabinet at home, I noticed that I have too many shoes of this or similar colour.

I want to get pretty red heels!

Materialistic?

I was told that Singapore ladies are materialistic. Are we really materialistic?
Pardon me for being frank.
The world is cruel. In order to survive in the world, you need to strive and work hard. Every single penny that you earn will be used to pay off necessities and luxury goods now and in the future. With the rising cost of living, if one is to still live in the 1990s economy 'fantasy', all that is left for is suffering.

Why?
How much does a packet of rice costs a couple of months ago?
How much does a loaf of bread costs 10 years ago?
How much does water costs 10 years ago?
How much does electricity costs 10 years ago?

All are necessities but prices continue to soar. Reality is cruel and being an ostrich doesn't helps to cope with the rising prices.

Once upon a time, you can get a job paying very well with just an 'O' Level certificate but now? You still can get a job but you cannot hope for more than 'peanuts'. Again, why? Singapore is now overflowing with university graduates and foreign expertise. Jobs are hard to come by and the once 'iron rice bowl' is now no longer one.

Prices of flats are rising at amazing rate. My grandfather used to pay only $15,000 for a 4-room flat, my dad used to pay $45,000 (if paid cash on the spot) for a 4 room flat and now a 4-room flat costs $300,000+. Who knows how much will a 4-room flat costs 10 years down the road? And, in case you haven't noticed, the flats are getting smaller and smaller. You are paying more and more for something lesser and lesser.

That is reality. So what is wrong with ladies who want to find guys who can earn a minimum of $5,000 when they hit 30? To me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

The 5C 10 years ago, Condominium, Cash, Credit Card, Certification and Car should now change to 5C1I0O - Condominium, Cash, Credit Card, Certification, Car, Intelligence and 0 Ostrich.

So, am I really materialistic? Maybe yes but I care for my future.

Absolute boyfriend

I want Nightly Series 01!!!
Happened to come across this Japanese drama and its manga, Absolute Boyfriend.
I want a robotic boyfriend too, but I only want Nightly Series 01. (=P)
I want someone perfect to be my absolute boyfriend. Hehe. Actually I don't mind Soushi either. (=D) Afterall, he is a human and almost perfect. (=P)

Ok, I am mad now cos I didn't have enough rest nor food. Been so busy trying to prepare my students for their exams, which all miraculously fall on Monday. (-.-') Haven't had a proper lunch since Saturday and only been able to take it about 2 or 3 hours after the normal lunch hour. On top of it, 3 or 4 students everyday is tiring.

LUCKILY,
I managed to convince the mothers of 2 of my students that I will not be able to teach their sons anymore starting June.
So starting June, I will have only 6 students and nothing more. Wonderful!!! (=D)

Time to start studying again in June and hopefully it goes smoothly. (=>)
