Quick updates

Doing a quick update as I am not able to update for the past few days. =)

Went to 5566's autograph session on Monday. It is a freaking long and tiring journey. Took me 2 hours to reach Bukit Panjang. Almost died on the train ride. -.-

Met up with IG peeps on Tuesday morning for supposedly breakfast but almost became lunch. Lol. Thought I was very late already but I was not the latest and in fact the earliest. o.0 The latest of all is Alex who was late for 1 hour. Had a great time catching up.

Wednesday was spent on watching High School Musical 2. YES! I finally bought it. Comparing to High School Musical 1, I think High School Musical 2 spent more on their scene settings. It looks good though.

Spent the next few days watching Delightful Girl, Choon Hyang. Hehe. =D The guy, Jae Hee is so cute. He is the same guy as the one in Witch Amusement. So handsome. =)

Clear all doubts

A junior asked me where am I studying and it suddenly struck me that I never did explain why am I doing what I am doing now.
I am not studying now. I am not in any university because I did not wish to divert from my interest, accounting.


Spending a total of 5 years with accounting, I developed a strong interest in it. I always picture myself working in a finance department of a company.


If you followed me all the way from A Girl's Blog to The Moon Kaleidoscope, you know that I wanted to change my path to Korean at one point of time. Up to this point in time, I still haven't given up on foreign language. I still find it something that I wish to explore.

I spent months of considering and thinking to finally tell and convince myself what I really want.

I asked myself if I really like accounting. Do I want to devote the rest of my life to accounting. Is this really what will keep me interested my whole life. What if I lost interest in the midst. What if foreign language is actually what is destined for me.

I spent a long time. Quited my job and started tutoring. I told myself, this is only for the time being, I need to rest my confused mind and sort my mixed feelings. When I finally sort out my feelings, I started asking myself about what I wanted to do.

Spent another few months. Finally I made a decision, I wanted to do accounting till the day I can't.

My mum always brought back the past when I was in JC. To many of you, I don't think you are aware that I was posted to a JC after the JAE admission exercise. I withdrew from JC not long after experiencing what I thought was a good experience. A good experience in the sense that the experience helped to make up my mind that I don't wish to go through JC in order to enter university. I wanted to take things at my own pace. I haven't regret my decision since.

I totally agreed with what my uncle told me when I was making my decision whether to stay or leave JC, "you need to experience it in order to know if you make the right choice".


I made the right decision!


Now that I sort out everything, I can't leave my current 'position' as a 'guidance' to my students. I can't leave them as they are. They are like my friends who at one point of time 'granted' me time to go through things when I needed it.

I don't regret anything that I have done to date. I wish to continue down the road at my own pace, enjoying every moment. =)

The old days

Rushing for tutorials and lectures, staying back in the lab to finish up the projects, going to the library to research on information, sleeping in the comfy sofa in the library, sitting outside the lecture halls while waiting for the lecturers, lunching at Biz Park, looking at the giant digital clock when I reach school, walking along the corridors or Business School and so many others.

I miss those days.

Scam

Was reading Guiqi's blog just now and read about the recent scam that she experienced. Decided to blog about what happened to me recently.

Forgotten when but about a few weeks ago, my house phone rang and after a few seconds, a recorded message was played over the phone.

"You have an urgent message from the Singapore High Court."

Anyway, it was in mandarin with a very strong China mainland accent. I thought I heard wrongly and press a button to repeat the message.

"You have an urgent message from the Singapore High Court"

Puzzled, I decided that I should listen to the message so I pressed another button. The call was then on queue. I was listening to the music and thinking: "What the hell?"

I put down the phone in less than 10 seconds.

Then I started thinking, if it is really a call from the High Court, shouldn't it be in English instead? If it is really some urgent message, shouldn't there be some official notice from the Court? What about the low quality in the recording? It is pretty obvious that this call cannot be made from Singapore. Besides, who would use such a stupid music for queue calls?

After much thoughts, I decided to forget about it and ignore these people. Be smarter. At least record your message in English.

Sick again!

My immune system has been weak lately. Been sick for the past few days and for these few weeks, my flu just come and go.

I just sneezed.

I hate to be sick but who loves to be?

Canceled my tuition today as I really don't think I can make it through the session ALIVE.
Since yesterday, I had been sneezing non-stop even after taking the cold medicine.
Finally decided to pay the clinic a visit.


Seen the doctor, enjoyed the usual little chat and left with the medicine.

When I was taking the cough mixture, I realized that the clinic staff wrote 110ml for per dosage. o.0 Lol. I think she thought the '1' doesn't looks obvious as it is almost in-line with the box and therefore wrote another '1'. I was joking with my mum that the bottle is not even enough for one dosage. =P


Will you sleep after taking the medicine? I don't in the past but now I will fall into the drowsy mode and miss my bed so much that I will fall into a long deep sleep regardless of what medicine as long as I am sick. Lol. In fact I had more than 12 hours of sleep just today alone. I am feeling drowsy again. Off to bed.

Christmas presents

YEAH!!! This is the first year I am getting individual Christmas presents for my family.

My brothers and I will be presenting my Mum and Dad $100 Isetan vouchers. I am considering to add additional $50 voucher and wondering if I should get NTUC voucher since my parents don't shop much.

My 2 brothers will be getting a white Zen Stone Plus each. Sad to say it is currently out of stock so we shall have to wait till Creative restock the white ones.
I feel that I am rather generous this year. Lol.

As for my Christmas present, it is the pink Zen Stone Plus. Hehe.

Wedding dinner again

There is a wedding dinner again yesterday. This is like the third wedding dinner I attended this year.

Purposely bought a dress and a short cardigan for the dinner but who knows that the battery that my mum helped me to charge did not last for more than 10 shoots which I fully utilised at home. -.-

Only realized that the battery died on me when I took it out to take photos. So sickening.

To think that I really love that dress and wanted to take a full length photo with my cousins when we were all dressed up.

But I am happy cos all my aunties and cousins were raving over my new haircut yesterday. They are said that it is really nice and suits me a lot. Hehe. At least something for me to be happy about.

Vivo

My first time to Vivocity. Lol. I know it already celebrated its 1st year anniversary and it is only my first time there on Wednesday. My bad. =P

Photos are still in the camera, haven't gotten time to download into my laptop yet. So you shall have to wait. Besides, I only took photos of some of things I bought. =P


First stop when we reached Harbour Front is to B.I.G. in Harbour Front Centre but to my dismay, it is no longer there. Lol. Wanted to buy my MP3 player there since it is always cheaper than other shops. (I sold my Ipod on the same day)


Then we walked around the centre for a while before we head to Vivo.

Headed to Candy Empire first. The candy looks good but I have nothing to rave about. Lol. Cos I didn't make any purchase. =P Though I got my first Christmas present, a box of chocolate. =)

Walked around a bit more. Saw a bag that I like so much at Chomel. But sadly the display set is the last piece for that colour. The sales assistant called the other branches to check if they carry that bag and only the branch at Plaza Singapura does. Though I reserved, I didn't head down to pick it up. =P

We were famished after window-shopping and decided to dine at Olive & Fig.
I had Classic BBQ Chicken. The chicken is really hard and tough, don't really like the chicken but the spaghetti and the sauce tastes wonderful.

After dinner, it is more shopping. Bought a long necklace for $13 at Diva and a yellow tube top from a shop at a corner besides Secret Recipe. Didn't get to shop much when I bought more than $200 cash to shop. Lol.

Somehow my shopping trip at Vivocity ended like this. The one unintended to spend ended up spending much more then I spent. Haha.

After the Vivo trip, I decided to get my Zen Stone Plus from the Creative website with Shi Yun as the 2nd Zen will cost 28% lesser.

Got my PINK Zen Stone Plus. Lol. It is totally not my colour but I thought it looks good so I bought it. Arrived today and I really love the design and light-weight.
If you asked me which is better, Ipod or Zen? I will definitely say Zen as it does not need another software to update and delete songs. Much more user-friendly. Besides, the price is also less highly priced as compared to Ipod. I rather pay lesser to get more. =P

Wondering if I should get 1 each for my 2 brothers.

She arrived into this world on the 29th January 2006.
On the first day of the Chinese New Year.
She is always the quieter and less aggressive among the sisters.
She loves to lick my finger whenever I play with her.
She is always slow in reaction.
She is the first to learn how to peel the pellets.
She seldom runs on the wheel.
She prefers to sleep.
She is always the obedient one.
She passed away on the 4th December 2007.
Living a short but happy life of 1 year 10 months and 5 days.
I miss her nose sniffing around, her tongue licking my finger, her laziness and her everything.
Nesie, may you rest in peace.
Sorry I wasn't able to do anything and be by your side when you left the world.
Hope you will cross the rainbow to the other side of the world and enjoy your new life in the other world.

I am so worried about Nesie now. She shrunk in size and became very listless. Her tail and backside is wet. I suspect that she had wet tail, a fatal disease for hamsters. Am bringing her to the vet tomorrow. Hope that she will get better. =(

I want to sell my Ipod 4th Generation 20GB. It is like not much of use now when I stopped downloading. =P


Anyone interested to take over? Only asking for very little so that I can buy another mp3 player. Bought at about $250, willing to sell for only $80 or lower.


In wonderful working condition, protect with leather casing but leather casing is almost a gone case. Lol.


I really think that I don't think before I buy. That happens for the Ipod and also the hard disk. =P Bad bad me. Lol.


Guess, I might as well sell my hard disk. Been dumping it aside for months. So is my portable radio. OMG!

Gotta stop buying expensive gadgets!!! Haiz.

Time for a proper update

While I was typing the previous post, I was watching 'Hello! Miss'.
I believed that some of things are nonsensical. Lol. Now for a proper update.


I have been staying at home almost everyday. I really am so lazy to get out of the house.


After giving tuition on Tuesday, I went to TM to buy some erasers.
My eraser is so pathetic that I have nothing to say.
Broke into so many small pieces that it is almost beyond usage. =P
After which I went to the pet shop to get bathing sand for my hammies and finally to TS and
Poh Kim to compare prices for a few shows that I am interested in. Decided on 'Hello! Miss' and
'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time'. =)


Then I spent the night watching 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time'.
Like what I mentioned in my previous post, the movie has a really slow grand opening.
In fact, it is not grand at all. If I didn't read the synopsis, I won't even have the slightest idea of
what is happening.
The movie is still rather boring towards the mid and the real climate comes in only at the end
when Chiaki, a friend of Makoto (the lead), started revealing the secrets.


Though this movie is rather boring for majority of the scenes, I strongly encourage you to watch it. It is not a movie that you will understand at once but the after taste is beyond description. I have the urge to watch the movie again soon after my mum and bro finally managed to watch from episode one of 'Hello! Miss' to the final episode. Lol.

I guessed that you have managed to guess what happened for the next 2-3 days. Haha.
Yes, it's 'Hello! Miss'.
I have been watching endlessly except when I have to give tuition or felt too tired (though this is
highly impossible, lol).
I watched late into the night and into the early morning.
My mum and bro are complaining that they only managed to glimpse through one episode and
never after that. Wahaha. I am a machine gun. Lol.

I am mad. I cut my hair today. Above shoulder-length. Lol. I even cut my fringe but no photos. Bleah. =P

Yesterday I bought 1 movie and 1 drama set. Hehe. Movie is 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time' and the drama set is 'Hello! Miss'.


The movie is rather slow at first but I love the ending though the guy should actually give up on the final chance to go back to the future. He should not give up on the girl. OH NO! How did I change the movie from a normal school anime to a love story? Wahaha.


Regarding the drama, Hello! Miss, I absolutely love it. Lol. The storyline is great.

Cousins 1st gathering

It is our first cousins gathering yesterday.
The cousins present are my bros, Wei Tao, Jing Yu, Ying x 2, Lei x 2, Shermaine, Jazryll and me!

We went to Plaza Singapura for dinner and walked to Paradiz only to realize that KBox at Paradiz has closed down. After which, we walked to The Cathy to look at what movies are available since KBox at Cineleisure is super far away. There are only 2 movies that we can watch which are Enchanted (Yeah! A advertorial on the left) and Fred Claus. -.-

Finally decided on Enchanted but the 9.45pm slot is full. So we decided to continue walking to Cineleisure KBox. On our way there, I decided to take some photos on the Christmas decorations on the road this year.

When we reached Cineleisure KBox, we realized that it costs $23++ to sing for 3 hours per head. -.- So expensive. So we decided to catch a movie after all.

Finally decided to catch Enchanted at the 11.30pm slot. Hehe. Enchanted is really good. Considering that even my bros and guy cousin also felt that the movie is really good. There are many comical scenes and the plot is rather good.

I love the little scene about the pigeon eating the cockroach after working hard to clean the house. Lol. The whole cinema was roaring with laughter. The songs and some unexpected scenes are really good. Highly recommend to those who are considering to watch this movie. =)

By the end of the movie, it was already close to 1.40am. Took the night rider home and reached home at 3am. -.-

Super cute guy!!!

ARGH!!! I totally forgotten about the existence of this super cute guy with very good vocal at the wedding dinner last night. Bloody hell Esther made me remember about his existence. Lol.

There is this really cute guy at the wedding dinner last night. He is my distant uncle's friend who represented him to present a song to the lovely bride. The song that he sang is one of my all time favourites, Swear It Again, by Westlife.

I was practically dancing in my chair. Haha. Ok, not that bad but I was singing along as he sang. I love that song so much. Haha. Okay after singing the first half of the song, he decided to do the 'pop star show' by walking down the stage and sang as he walked. He actually walked towards our half and almost completely 'ignored' the other half of the guests. Lol. It was later discovered that he was actually sitting at our half. Haha.

My bros and cousins were whistling as he approached. Haha. Immediately after he ended the song, they started to tease my uncle who sang 'Lao Shu Ai Da Mi' to his wife during their solemnization by singing the chorus. Haha.

Too bad, I forgotten to take the cute guy's photo. =P

The dinner is rather good. At least I managed to try almost everything except the last two dishes. Hehe.

First is appetizer which consists of jellyfish, baby octopus, spring roll prawn, cheese beancurd, spring chicken. I tried everything except the jellyfish. Spicy food just isn't my type. Hehe. But I love the baby octopus. It tastes fantastic. Hehe.

Next dish is shark fin with golden mushroom which I kept thinking that it is bean sprout. Lol. Pardon my bad taste buds. =P

Coming next is roasted duck with crispy skin. Yummy. I just love the crispy skin. Hehe. Then it is the steamed fish and I had a competition with Gabriel who encounter the most fish bones.
I WON! Lol. 4 versus 2.

We also had scallops with fake abalone, prawns with special wasabi mayo suace. After which the other 2 dishes are the ones that I avoid. Hehe. So I have no idea what are they called. Hehe.

That's about it. Off to bed. Tata.

Slacking

I have been slacking since most of my tuitions came to a stop. =P

I am getting more and more reluctant to get out of my house. Hehe. But I still want to go shopping. At least at TM since it is officially open after the recent renovations and extensions. It will be wonderful to head out somewhere near to do shopping. I always hate to go to Orchard but love Far East. Lol. Ironic isn't it?

I want to do shopping but everyone is busy. Even my mum is busy with all the little shopping and outings with her friends. When my mum is out, I have to be home. Haiz. Cos I need to keep a watch on my grandmother.

Since I am so bored lately, I have been watching animations on Crunchyroll. Hehe. I have conquered Bleach, Ichigo 100% (lame and stupid anime), Zombie Loan and starting to watch Ghost Hounds which is a new anime. Hehe. That is what happened with someone who has nothing better to do. =P
