Canon Powershot A470

I bought this camera today. Well, I didn't buy it myself. My cousin helped me to buy it when he went to the IT show today. I went there myself on Friday and took a couple of brochures. By the way, my camera is grey not orange. Hehe.

As for Powershot A80, my mum is using it now and she is truly fascinated by the functions.
Finally my mum is using a good camera with good mega-pixel and zoom. =)

Grandfather's 77th Birthday

It's my grandfather's 77th birthday yesterday!

We went to my youngest uncle(Xiao Shu)'s house and that is our first time there. Hehe.

It is a simple 3-room flat with a small and cozy living room.

There, we saw the majestic rabbit, NOBY!

She was happily running about in the house and she did not even try to escape through the opened door. Hehe. But she is a lot thinner now as compared to when she was at my house.

Before the cake-cutting ceremony, we were all waiting for my bro to come online to say the wishes to my grandfather. While waiting, my aunt decided to show us part of her impressive collections,

BARBIE DOLLS.

I bet there were more than hundreds of them on the display shelf and that is only half of her collection. Each barbie is actually collector's item worth more than $100.

(Hey, why is the groom shorter?)

OMG! So shocked when I saw them despite knowing that my aunt collects barbie dolls. I began to start taking pictures of the dolls.

Shortly, I heard excited shouts from the living room and rushed out to look at my laptop. My bro finally came online and we quickly connected the video and everyone started taking their turns to talk to my bro who also managed to see everyone via the new webcam that we bought for this sole reason. =)

I had a hard time showing my bro the face of everyone there. Lol. I was busy with the webcam when my parents suddenly asked me to quickly go and take photo of my grandfather.

After I positioned myself in front and everyone started to ask for someone to lead the singing of the birthday song, I shouted, "1...2...3. Happy Birthday ..."

Haha. I want to quickly sing the birthday song and take the photos as the camera may die on me anytime. Lol.

Oh, I forgotten to mention about the food. I was SO full. My uncle ordered so much food for barely 30 of us and we had a lot of leftover. So yummilicious. I may be considering this caterer for my birthday. Hehe. =)

Wishlist for now

Wish list for the time being:

  • Wallet that is not too small and not too long. Enough for me to put in $50 notes without folding, all my cards and a coin compartment. Still searching for a suitable one.
  • A new handphone that looks stylish with a workable camera and mp3 function.
  • Lots and lots of dramas and movies.
  • Koizora book 1 and 2. *BOUGHT*
  • New laptop. Still wondering if I should get. If I get it, I have no idea what to do with my old laptop.
  • New bags, clothes, accessories.
  • Repay my tuition loan.
  • Have fun and don't work.
  • Go to Taiwan, Japan, Korean, Australia or Europe.
  • MONEY. Lol. I need lots and lots to fulfill everything above.
  • Get into university this year.

Blood Count Results

My blood count results are out. It should be out earlier but my grandmother always pick up the call when the doctor called and just answered 'hello' and nothing else. -.-

Everything is fine except that my Lymphocytes count is slightly higher than the normal range. Higher by 0.22%. Lol. Doctor said that it is nothing to worry about because it is only slightly higher. Lucky me. =P

Cards

I finally changed my ATM card. The protective layer of my ATM had started to chip and come off since last year but it is still usable and the queue at the POSB branch is forever long.

FINALLY

I have been telling my mum I am going to change my ATM card since last year and FINALLY I changed it today.

I was woken up by my mum at 10am to get ready to follow her to bank to do TT (Telegraphic Transfer) to my bro's Australian account. I was so excited to finally be able to do a real TT since International Finance is 'all about talk and no action'. Lol.

Only when I started filling out the form, did I realise that TT is nothing. All is required is a lot of information of the bank in Australian. -.- Thought it will be fun.

After the TT, we went to Singtel to get a SIM card replacement as my bro bought his SIM card to Australian such that he can contact us on the first day. While my mum was waiting for my turn to be called, I made a dash for Golden Village to collect my Movie Club card. =P Hehe. I just join for fun and the card is so cute. Lol. It is the shape of a box of popcorn.

When everything was done, we started to walk towards home but since we are already in the central, I decided to FINALLY change my ATM card. Lol. The queue indeed took forever. I probably queued for a freaking 30 minutes to my turn and spend about 10 minutes to get the necessary arrangements done.

AND
TADA...

2 new cards in my wallet. =D

Bro took off at 9.05pm

Saw the cap on the jacket? That is a billabong cap that my brother and I bought for my brother as a farewell plus birthday gift.

He had already checked in his luggage when we arrived at the airport and he only had his hand luggage, bag, jacket and cap with him.

Family photo taken at the airport while waiting for the gate to open. Coincidentally, my whole family is wearing brown tops.

My parents with my bro.

My second aunt, her daughters and my bro.

Presenting my bro with a farewell card that is filled with lots of love and care from everyone present at the airport. (I closed my eyes at that very moment. -.-)

We will not meet again until December. Thus, we took a big photo of all the cousins.

While waiting for the gate to open, all of us were happily chatting again except for my grandfather who was crying secretly.

I thought I would not cry but when it is time for my bro to board the plane, tears started to well up in my eyes. I tried very hard to control them until I find most of my cousins crying as well. We tried really hard but we just can't help it.

My bro tried hard to fight his tears but he cried as well when he was hugged by his god-mother.

I guess it is just the moment when emotions started to spill. We went to the viewing hall after my bro disappeared from view. We tried to find his plane but it is out of view but we stayed till his plane took off.

I will miss my bro who always sleep late and wake up late. Will only see him again in December. I am looking forward to December already.

Leaving tomorrow

Bro is leaving tomorrow.

It is now confirmed.

My whole family will be there to send him off.

Had a pizza dinner today as a mini farewell dinner.

Anyone can tell me what my bro might need in Australia? Is gloves necessary during the winter season? Thanks in advance.
